Throughout the last eight years Amanda has been able to continually further her skills and attend frequent education classes taught by the industry’s leading stylists. Most recently she has received certification from Vidal Sassoon, a highly rated advanced hair cutting program. She also enjoys participating as the lead makeup artist in photo shoots.

After obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Azusa Pacific University, Amanda Chance decided to follow her true passion and start a career in the beauty industry. Upon high school graduation, Darlene attended Napa’s Le Melange Academy of Hair. After some time working in wine country, she decided it was time for opportunity and training-and Walnut Creek seemed like the right option. For five years, Darlene worked at an Aveda salon, and has gained expert knowledge in both color and cutting through Aveda and Vidal Sassoon courses. Darlene is versed in a plethora of product lines and products. This hard-working, passionate, patient, and creative stylist also enjoys problem solving. Darlene will not only bring your vision to life, but will make sure that it works for you on an every day basis as well. “I love figuring out what my clients’ needs are, and what will really work for them at home,” she says.
Kimberly Elaine- Stylist/Colorist/Bridal Specialist
“The best part of my Job is making people feel beautiful.” –Kimberly Elaine. Kimberly is a graduate of St. Mary’s college of California. After obtaining her Bachelors of Arts in Sociology, she made the decision to pursue her lifelong dream: to become a stylist. Kimberly attended The San Francisco Institute of Cosmetology-A Paul Mitchell partner school. She then went on to become an apprentice, then a stylist, at a high-end San Francisco salon, followed by several years at a Walnut Creek Aveda salon. Kimberly never stops learning, taking classes, and developing new skills, including advanced color, cutting, and style classes through both Davines and Aveda. “I love being creative with color and thinking outside the box. In addition to cut and color bridal updos are a specialty of mine,” she says. “I do a very thorough consultation and really listen to each guest; I love getting to know them, and honestly care about each every person that sits in my chair.”
“I believe a new hair color can make someone feel great about themselves.” –Lacie Mullikin. After high school, Lacie immediately wanted to become a hairstylist. She attended cosmetology school, obtained her license, and went straight to training for one year at an Aveda salon in Walnut Creek. Lacie then moved to Los Angeles, assisting at a high-end Manhattan Beach salon. This opened many new channels of knowledge for her; she learned to perfect her blowouts and creative coloring, such as the popular “ombre” style. After two years of this extensive training, Lacie returned to Walnut Creek to work at the salon where it all began. These days, Lacie has completed the Vidal Sassoon cutting course, and has learned product and color lines such as Davines, Schwarzkopf, and Sachajuan. “With five years under my belt, I’m still training and taking classes as often as I get a chance,” she says. “Being able to customize or correct someone’s color is my true passion. This has been true since the age of 12, when I first started coloring my own hair. “Color formulating, application, and new vision have always been what makes me tick.”
